The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, handed over 12 sets of SurgiBox portable systems for emergency surgical operations in the field to the doctors of the Rivne Military Hospital, as well as innovative equipment for the treatment of wounds using the VAC-therapy method, which involves the use of negative pressure for cleaning the wound surface and accelerating healing.
Military medics also received the state-of-the-art XLR8 Plus wound therapy device, which promotes wound healing by removing excess exudates and infectious material. According to experts, thanks to such equipment, the patient's recovery time can be cut almost in half.
The specified innovative devices were provided to the command of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by an American non-governmental organization with the assistance of the Protect The Future Charity Foundation.
Lieutenant General Serhii Naev thanked the hospital employees for the quality performance of their duties and talked with the wounded.
— We will try to increase aid. We have appropriate agreements with American partners. The war continues. And we need to do everything in every area of our responsibility in order to be strong and armed, including modern medical equipment, - emphasized Lieutenant General Serhii Naev. — To save more lives of our soldiers, and for them to receive decent treatment and recovery in as comfortable conditions as possible.
