The workers of the National Children's Specialized Hospital "Ohmatdyt" thanked the defenders of Ukraine by presenting them with scopes and a night vision device. The modern equipment was purchased with funds collected during the fair under the slogan "Maslenytsia goes - brings victory" with support from Protect The Future CF CO.
The action coincided with the anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The management of the medical facility aimed to do something useful for the state and the soldiers, as well as to support morale in the hospital, to unite all doctors and workers for the sake of victory. This was reported by the public relations department of the Command of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"It was a fair sale, for which preparations were made very carefully. It turned out to be a real holiday for doctors and staff, and for young patients and their parents. It was fun and interesting. The relevant commission counted the funds and determined the winners. In total, more than 100 thousand hryvnias. Then they turned to the military with a proposal to purchase with the received funds what is most needed," said the general director of "Ohmatdyt" Volodymyr Zhovnir.
The equipment was handed over to the commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Serhii Naev, who thanked the doctors and staff of the children's hospital for the assistance provided. He emphasized that all devices will be transferred to military units that perform tasks on the border with the Russian Federation.
"We will definitely use them for the protection of our soldiers and our victory," Nayev assured.
It is noted that currently a special category of patients undergoing inpatient treatment in Ohmatdyt are children who were injured as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
The military command has been taking care of small patients of the hospital for a long time: it organizes festive theater and circus performances, interactive educational games and, of course, gives sweets.
The medical institution has already repeatedly received help from the military in equipping treatment rooms and a rehabilitation center, as well as important medical equipment.
Recently, military personnel also visited Ohmatdyt not empty-handed: each child received a sweet gift, and those who do not want sweets - a toy or a book.
The support of the event was provided by PrJSC "Dnipropetrovsk Combine of Food Concentrates" ("Golden Grain" trademark) and Protect the Future CF CO.
"With gifts, we pass on part of our dreams to the children. So that everyone who is treated here will definitely recover, so that the children live a full life and only a bright future awaits them. We do everything to make childhood real," emphasized General Lieutenant Serhii Naev.
