A meeting was held between representatives of US-based volunteer organizations, medical centers, leading universities and manufacturers of medical equipment and representatives of UAF Joint Forces Command and Protect The Future CF CO within the framework of military-civilian cooperation.
During the meeting, the main directions of deepening cooperation and practical actions in helping medical institutions and the civilian population in the area of responsibility of the Command of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were determined.
- We feel and appreciate your effective help. It is very useful and extremely necessary for us, - the commander noted with gratitude. - This is just the beginning of our fruitful cooperation, and we are ready to walk this path together with you.
In turn, the benefactors emphasized that they want to work within the humanitarian programs of the Armed Forces Command and aim to transfer as much medical equipment as possible to Ukraine in order to "save as many lives as possible in Ukraine":
- We are happy to help you and would like to cooperate in the future, providing Ukraine with strong support from our state.
Having discussed the prospects of further cooperation, the commander promised to provide a "green light" to all ideas and proposals of the American partners and their implementation in practice. The foreign guests assured that, based on the results of the feedback, they will ensure the improvement of medical equipment in accordance with the needs of the Ukrainian military.
It is worth noting that with the support of Lieutenant General Serhii Nayev, within the framework of strategic humanitarian initiatives, systematic assistance has been provided to the civilian population, in particular, to children and socially vulnerable groups, as well as to medical facilities in the war zone, starting from 2014. In particular, during the period of full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine, medical hospitals, military units and the civilian population in the area of hostilities received almost 300 tons of humanitarian goods of primary need, including medical equipment, medicines, autonomous electrical power devices, optical devices, thermal imagers, unmanned aerial vehicles , sleeping bags, hygiene products, food products, etc. The value of the aid provided is measured in tens of thousands of euros, but joint efforts for the sake of Victory cannot be measured.
