On the eve of the beginning of the new academic year, the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhii Naev, within the framework of civil-military cooperation with Protect The Future Charitable Foundation handed over 1,500 books to children who are being treated in regional children's hospitals in different regions of our country.
— It is important that children read books exclusively in the Ukrainian language, because they should develop culturally, grow up as educated and conscious Ukrainians. And we, the adults, are responsible for this, said Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev.
The commander noted that this initiative was widely supported by various charitable organizations together with domestic publishing houses.
On the same day, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev handed over an important humanitarian cargo of medical purpose to the Sumy Regional Clinical Hospital.
The assistance came from partners from the United States of America within the framework of the current memorandum of cooperation, which was concluded with the Protect The Future Charitable Foundation and the Command of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The humanitarian cargo includes essential items that will help doctors ensure successful treatment and quick recovery of patients," the commander said.
